Why add video to my website? The reasons are many, but bottom line is that it will increase the ability
for you to communicate and inform your customers, and will separate your site from the competition.

Why don't more sites have video? Good question. Up until now, the process of adding video had been
complicated, and not many people were trained to provide web video at an affordable cost. Also, people
have only recently acquired high-speed internet connections (referred to as "broadband").

Do people have to have broadband to view video? No, Web Ready Video can produce and encode a
video suitable for delivery on a dial up connection; however, video length will need to be minimized and
quality will have to be sacrificed for dial up users.

Why choose Web Ready Video vs. other companies? Quite simply, not many places can deliver the
total package of services WRV is capable of, and at the price WRV can. Most high-end video production
companies use expensive cameras and editing equipment costing thousands of dollars. Equipment such as
this is not necessary for website video. WRV's low overhead allows us to provide your website with digital
video at a fraction of the cost of typical production companies.

Why don't more companies specialize in web ready video? They will. Developments in broadband
internet access and video compression technology has opened a new market for web video. Previously,
video production professionals were used for high-end productions. Web site designers were used to
design site content, and marketing companies were used to design advertising campaigns. While these
companies command the highest skills in their respective businesses, they typically do not merge their
skills into other areas. In addition, their services are targeted towards clients with top level needs, and at
top level prices!

But don't I need a high quality production? No you don't. At this stage in time, video quality is limited
by bandwidth issues. Hence, video files must be kept to a reasonable size to properly be delivered on the
internet. This will result in a quality less than typical television video, but very suitable for streaming on
your website. Using television quality video would not enhance a video compressed for web streaming, and
would be very expensive!

Are you saying my video will look poor? The final result of your video will depend on it's length and
the amount of compression that must be used, but should be acceptable to your viewers. You can view
samples on www.webreadyvideo.com to see for yourself to see how they will typically look.

Will you put the video on my site? Only if I have designed and host your site. Otherwise, the content
of your site is managed by you and your hosting company. I will deliver the final video either directly to
you, your hosting company or your webmaster. Your first step should be to contact your hosting company
or webmaster and inquire if you can add video. Most hosting companies have server storage limits and
monthly bandwidth (traffic) limitations. In some cases, you may need to change your hosting plan to
accommodate the video. Web Ready Video will help you with the correct questions to ask prior to accepting
any work. Web Ready Video can also design an entire website for you that incorporates video.

Can Web Ready Video host my video? Yes, there are a couple of options. I can store the video file on
my servers, and deliver the video from a link on your website. Web Ready Video can also design and host
a complete website that includes your videos.

Why do you recommend Windows media as your media format? Windows Media is the most widely
used media player, offers good quality web streaming, and offers "progressive download" - which allows
the video to begin playing after only a short delay while it is in the process of downloading. Since it is
bundled with the Windows operating system, most of your viewers should already have Windows Media
installed on their computers. Those that don't can easily download a free copy with a link you can provide
on your site.

So, please define all the steps in a nutshell! Once you decide video can help your site, the process is
as follows:
1) Contact your hosting company or webmaster to confirm that they will host digital video files. In rare
occasions, they may charge a fee for delivering video.
2) Contact whoever designed or maintains your site and ask if they can add a link to a video file for you,
or embed the video using html code (they will know what you mean). Be aware that they may charge you
for this service as they do with any changes to your site.
3) Contact Web Ready Video to discuss your particular needs.

Can I preview my video? Yes. You will be provided with a website link to preview your video as it will
appear on the internet.

Why can't I buy a camera and do my own videos? You can, but there is more to it than just buying a
camera. Your website, as well as your video, are a reflection of your business. Proper composition,
lighting, and editing will insure your video is professional and effective. In some cases, an effective script
must be prepared that summarizes your point in a concise and timely manner. In some cases, an audio
track or background music will need to be added and synchronized to the video. Video footage must be
encoded for proper web delivery. Web Ready Video will handle all the details for you, and also offers a
training program that will prepare you to produce your own videos and publish them to your site. To

About digital video: Using digital video footage results in
quality that far surpasses NTSC (VCR tapes) and is very
close to broadcast quality. Many broadcasters and even some
film makers are now using miniDV format digital camcorders.

Encoding: Encoding the video is the process that converts it
to a file type that can be delivered on the web. QuickTime,
Real media, and Windows Media are currently the most
popular formats for web based video.

Hosting: The content for your website is stored or "resides" on a web server with your hosting company.
Most all hosting companies now also store digital video files as well, with no additional charge.

Dial-up access: Dial-up access refers to the method of connecting to the internet using modems that
communicate with your Internet Service Provider by using your existing telephone line.

Broadband: Broadband is the term given to a high speed internet connection, which is anything above
56kbps modems (known as "dial up" access). Types of broadband connections include cable modems,
DSL, ISDN, and TI. The number of broadband users approximately doubles in the past year, and this rate
of growth is projected to continue.

Windows Media: This is the format recommended by Web Ready Video to deliver media on your
website. The biggest advantages currently to using Windows Media is that since the Windows Media player
is packages free with the Windows operating system, it is already installed on most computers. It also
offers "progressive download", which allows the file to begin playing as it is being downloaded.

"http streaming": This is the technology that actually delivers the video to your viewers. No special
server is required by your hosting company, as the video is delivered from a standard web server.
Why do I need a website? Having a website is actually a value added service to your customers and
has come to be expected of most businesses. It saves both you and your customers valuable time
answering questions that can be addressed quickly and efficiently on your website.

What is the process for getting a website? It's simpler than you may think. We will communicate
via email, by phone, or in person. What I will need to get started is your preferences on things such as
layout, menu orientation, and color scheme. I will then ask you to provide me with the content that you
would like on the site. Only you know what message and information you want to convey to your
viewers. I will of course make recommendations and format your information for a stylish web
appearance. I will also need any image files you would like on your site in .jpg or .gif format. Within a
few days, I will have your site available for your review. I will then make any changes to the basic
format that you request.

What can I do to change my site after it is designed? You have a few choices. I would be happy to
manage your site changes on an on going basis for an hourly rate of $50 per hour. I also offer a training
program that will allow you to make changes, modify, or even redesign your site whenever you choose.
The training is approximately 4 hours, includes 2 weeks online support, and costs $199.

Do you require a deposit? Yes, a 50% deposit is required on all orders. The final payment will be due
when the site is finished and meets your total approval. At that point, it will be published to the web with
your web address. Every effort will be made to insure you are satisfied with the final product. In order to
be fair and account for the time invested, the deposit would be kept if the purchase agreement is broken.

How can you beat everyone's price? As an independent contractor, I am able to keep costs and
overhead low. Plus, I will do all the work myself and communicate directly with you regarding your
needs.
